Swift Boost Mission

☆

A Northrop Grumman Pegasus XL, dropped from the Stargazer L-1011 over Kwajalein Atoll, launched Katalyst Space's LINK robotic servicing spacecraft to low Earth orbit on a NASA-contracted mission to capture NASA's Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and raise its decaying orbit. After an attitude control problem left LINK without enough propellant, NASA and Katalyst dropped the capture and boost; LINK instead flew rendezvous and proximity operations, approaching within 12-15 km of Swift, before reentering on September 25, 2026.

The launch date was Friday, July 3, 2026 at 8:36 AM (UTC).
