The CRS2 NG-23 mission will resupply the International Space Station (ISS) as part of NASA's Commercial Resupply Services contract. Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus spacecraft will deliver essential supplies, scientific experiments, and hardware to support ongoing research on the ISS. The mission will continue Northrop Grumman's role in maintaining critical operations aboard the station, facilitating experiments that help improve our understanding of space environments and their effects on various materials and biological systems.

A significant update for this mission is the debut of the Antares 330 rocket, which includes a newly designed first stage developed in collaboration with Firefly Aerospace. The upgrade became necessary due to the unavailability of the previously used RD-181 engines. This improved vehicle will provide enhanced performance, supporting the continued success of Northrop Grumman’s resupply missions to the ISS, launching from Wallops Island, Virginia.
